AI for kids
Famil·IA explores how to bring artificial intelligence to children with understandable explanations, guidelines defined by their family, and conversations that stay inside the home.
It is not enough to reduce the length of an answer. A child asks questions to understand, relate ideas, imagine and, many times, express something that he still does not know how to explain well. An appropriate experience should take into account your age, the context and the purpose of the conversation.
Famil·IA combines profiles by age, modes of use and family guidelines. Instead of presenting a single way of conversing, separate needs such as Curiosity, Homework, Stories, and Calmness. The objective of each mode is different: explain, accompany reasoning, create in a participatory way or help put words to a simple emotion.
In Homework, a helpful answer should not do the entire exercise for the child. You can remember an idea, break the problem into steps, and pose a question to continue. In Stories, you can start a scene and return a creative decision. In Curiosity, you can explain with a close example and end by opening a new question.
Clear phrases, everyday examples and depth adjusted to the configured age.
Clues before solutions and questions that keep the child in the process.
The family decides ages, available modes, limits and ways to respond.
Appropriate explanation, recommendation to speak to an adult, and an alert in the family dashboard where appropriate.
The prototype runs on a home computer. Conversations are not sent to a third-party provider for a response. This allows us to explain a simple rule: what you ask Famil·IA stays at home.
Privacy does not mean leaving the child alone in front of technology. The family dashboard allows you to configure the experience and receive notifications about sensitive topics. The proposal seeks proportionate accompaniment, not permanent surveillance of each word.
No. It is intended as a support tool. Educational decisions, important conversations, and professional help belong to people.
No. The public website offers a demo with selectable options. Real AI is not connected to the web.
The first tests have been carried out in a family environment with profiles of 8 and 10 years old. The prototype allows profiles to be adapted by age.

The cover demo allows you to cycle through Curiosity, Homework, Stories, and Calm without connecting to the real AI.
